Early Math Love

Meet Lola Alvarez
With 40 years of international experience in early childhood education, Lola Alvarez specializes in early mathematics and the Reggio Emilia approach.

Lola’s passion for early mathematics is deeply rooted in her commitment to leveraging neuroscience to nurture young minds. Research highlights that engaging children in visual and spatial activities strengthens neural pathways critical for mathematical thinking and problem-solving.

Dedicated to addressing gender disparities in STEM careers, Lola believes in the immense potential of all children. She actively creates opportunities for girls to explore and develop spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills, empowering them to excel in traditionally male-dominated fields.
